About Nieset:

Nieset LeFevre is the sixth generation in her family to call the Gunnison Valley home. In 2023 Nieset earned her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Sustainability with a focus and Minor in Climate Change Studies at the University of Montana. While her education is focused on the dynamic systems that make up our world, her worldview is rooted in artistic expression and finding beauty where it is both abundant and harder to find in nature and community alike. Her work with the non-profit organization The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival as a previous staff member, hike assistant, and current Board Member has inspired a commitment to the prosperity of non-profits in the Gunnison Valley. Nieset has dabbled in the arts through theater, drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, poetry, and dance for most of her life and looks forward to contributing to the prosperity of the artistic community in the Gunnison Valley as the Arts Center Administrator. She hopes to build many new relationships through this role and encourages anyone to reach out to her regarding their artistic or non-artistic endeavors to see how the Arts Center can assist!
