Donielle Carr has enjoyed developing over a decade of performing arts experience in communities, with the public, and among universities. She has a MA in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder and was fortunate enough to present her MA thesis at the University of Iceland with the International Federation for Theatre Research. Most recently, Donielle could be found House Managing with the Denver Performing Arts Complex at the Buell Theatre, Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Boettcher Concert Hall, and Sculpture Park. However, as a member of the Gunnison Valley community, Donielle has spent many years performing with the Gunnison Arts Center, Western Colorado University, the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, the Crested Butte Dance Collective, and the Crested Butte Mountain Theatre, even earning herself a prized Golden Marmot award for her portrayal of Barbara Allen in the 40th Anniversary production of Dark of the Moon. Donielle is thrilled to continue this incredible journey as the Performing Arts Program Manager for the Gunnison Arts Center, and to share her passion for community engagement, arts education, and the transformative power of a live performance/lived experience.
